You can find any home setting you like – from urban to suburban to country – in friendly and welcoming neighborhoods with excellent public and private schools. Lewiston is the home of Bates College, New England's first (and longest enduring) coeducational college, ranked 22nd in the 2014 US News & World Report “Best Liberal Arts Colleges” rankings and awarded the “Best Value in America” by the Princeton Review. This highly competitive college hosts students from nearly every state and more than 60 countries, regularly receiving ten times as many applications as available freshman slots. In Lewiston, you will be within easy reach of Portland and its semi-pro sports teams, the popular Old Port district, the ballroom dance scene, and the international Jetport – and the sea coast! In the opposite direction, you can easily visit challenging ski hills, numerous hiking trails, and streams and lakes for casual fishing – just a few of the many recreational pursuits available!
The ideal candidate will have a dynamic personality and excellent communication skills and will help grow a program designed to manage the health of area children from birth to young adulthood. This full-scope pediatric practice includes outpatient care, pediatric admissions and inpatient care for acute patients, plus attending deliveries and providing newborn care.
Candidates requiring visa support and those who are NHSC scholars are encouraged to apply!
Call is shared on a 1:3 basis.
If selected, you will earn a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary plus excellent benefits including a signing bonus, paid relocation, a generous six weeks of PTO, a full CME budget, and ongoing student loan repayment!
